PROPERTY Description
Ideally located within the Santa Ynez/Solvang/Los Olivos area. A 1200 sq ft two bedroom home, can sleep 6 adults comfortably: a queen size bed in each bedroom. and two xl twin beds in the great room. Fast wifi internet and cable TV. We provide eggs from our pet friendly hens, milk, bread, coffee, tea, juice and seasonal organic fruit from our garden for your meals. The space is arranged to provide our guests (families, couples, & friends) a wonderful experience that is memorable.
There is a large living room that has been decorated to provide a restorative environment with comfy furniture, a large TV with cable, a dinner table that has seating for 6. There is a well appointed kitchen, with pots, pans, plates, to commonly used cooking items such as cooking oil, spices, and breakfast items. There is a washer and dryer for use. There are two bedrooms, each with a new comfortable queen-size bed that we furnish with luxury linens; and there are two xl twin beds in the great room. An immaculate clean home. We maintain a high standard regarding providing a clean home with a spotless bathroom that is supplied with toiletries. The cottage has its own private patio space if guests want privacy away from the shared meditation garden. The private patio area has a gas grill for BBQ; and there is also a casual outdoor dining area. Fantastic space to view the night sky infused with stars. No light pollution, so if there isn't any cloud cover this area is wonderful for viewing stars. There is plenty of room for children to play within the cottage, the private patio area, and in the meditation garden. We encourage guests to engage in chalk art on the concrete floors in the patio area. A relaxing activity for both young and old. We provide lots of toys, games. and crafts for children, an indoor tent with panda sleeping bags; and we even have an electric car (10 and younger) for children to tootle around the property. The highlight for most of our guests would be our very friendly chickens that roam around in the shared meditation garden. Our chickens are social, they know their names, and they love to be fed and cuddled. All our guests, young and older, tend to enjoy their contact with the chickens; and they feeling infused with joy and amazed at how personable the chickens can be. We often hear from guests how they loved the ability to hug a chicken and to hear them trill (like a cat's purr). However, if you fear chickens, or are not quite an animal person, then you can also ignore the chickens and still be able to enjoy the garden and home without any contact with the chickens.
There is a large driveway so we allow our guests up to four cars to park in our driveway while staying in the cottage. Exceptional Wifi quality (not easily found in the valley ) is via speedy cable.
If you are a young family with an infant we have a pack and play with linens, a stroller, baby bath, high chair, play items. For young children we encourage children to engage in crafts, board games, and chalk art on the driveway or patio area. If you are a group of girlfriends or couples we provide adult board games , encourage you to enjoy wine and meals in the garden and engage in chalk art in the patio area.
We have lots of suggestions for places to visit, wineries to consider, places to eat, areas to hike, bike, and swim. There is also plenty of space for storing any large items during your stay such as bikes. Cyclists may use the garage to store bikes, stands, and other equipment and to use the garage as a work space.
If you coming into the area for bike riding we can suggest many local trails. If you are coming into the area for wine tasting we can make suggestions for boutique wine venues. If you are coming for a friend or family member's wedding, then we are very likely located near the wedding venue. We have been told by nearly all our guests how central we are to everything in the Santa Ynez valley.
In order provide safety for our chickens we no longer allow our guests to bring their pets as of the beginning of this year. The cottage is allergy free, no animals allowed inside, we do not even allow our own little terrier inside the cottage.
Our focus and goal is to support you in having a wonderful restorative time while visiting our fantastic Santa Ynez Valley.

Calm, relaxing and still invigorating.
As soon as we arrived in this lovely home we were in another world, surrounded by gardens and trees, with chickens everywhere . Spacious, cosy home. Very clean and cared for. Close by are shops,good restaurants and a YMCA gym( with swimming pool). Beautiful scenery with great drives and walks/ hiking. Owner, Peter, was welcoming and informative. A perfect host ! Even provided us with fresh eggs, oranges and persimmons, all from the gardens. Wonderful! What a treat that was!
