PROPERTY Description
This 1936 Craftsmen inspired, vintage bungalow has been completely restored by an artist so that you can unwind in style. It has just the right combination of color and comfort. The exterior has been painted a warm, sunny yellow creating a very warm welcome. The splash of red in the kitchen adds to its rustic charm. Guests will enjoy how cozy this home feels. Less than 1000 square feet of creatively utilized space offering everything you need for a fabulous getaway. The family/dining room is open to the kitchen with breakfast bar. Enjoy hanging out watching a movie on the flat-screen T.V. Play a game or dine at the cafe- style table. Three well-appointed bedrooms offer sleeping for up to 6 guests with a King, Queen and 2 twin beds. The tile work in the bathroom and one-of-a-kind light fixtures are small works of art. The bathroom has a stall shower.
Take a 12 minute stroll or use the bikes and visit the Plaza in downtown Arcata or enjoy our famous Farmer's Market for fresh, local organic offerings, food and music. Enjoy cooking in the fully equipped kitchen or stop and eat at any of the great restaurants on The Plaza. Sit outside on the front porch and enjoy cocktails or start your day there with some locally roasted coffee. The Greenview Market located across the adjacent pasture is super convenient for last minute items. Indoor laundry makes your stay even easier. Will welcome 1 dog to stay too!

Fabulous Cottage
Stayed for 3 days in December, 2017 We adore this cottage! This is our second time renting it for our extended family (my family of four, plus my brother-in-law and his two kids). It makes the perfect chill place for our family when we're visiting the in-laws and need a little space.I also love that there is a washing machine and dryer - great as we're usually at the tail end of our driving trip when we come here.Wonderful Christmas!
Stayed for 5 days in December, 2017 Lovely home... fully equipped with everything we needed for a lovely holiday visit. My only recommendation would be to please put handrails in the shower! My elderly mother had a very hard time.I'll be back!Rebecca H D. from Helena,, MT recommends this property.
Stayed for 8 days in March, 2018 This charming, super clean, lovingly decorated home couldn't be in a better location for us, (near our family, and has everything to offer to meet our needs. The king sized bed in the master bedroom was a welcome plus, as so many rentals only offer queens. The washer and dryer was also welcome addition as often it is necessary to find a local laundromat, (and who wants to do that while on vacation? ) The kitchen was well equipped for cooking, the TV and internet worked great, the back yard was clean and 3/4 fenced, making it a nice place to hang out with our 1 yo grandson on sunny days. Another huge plus for us was that it's only two blocks away from one of the nicest playgrounds for young ones that we've ever seen. Correspondence with the folks ( we primarily worked with Jonna) managing the place was a breeze, as any time we had a question or needed something either Jonna or someone else was prompt to respond. While we paid a little more than we normally pay for a rental, this is one of the nicest properties we've ever rented and was well worth the price. Stayed for 4 days in May, 2018 The house is lovely. So many thoughtful details: a well appointed kitchen, comfy towels and king bed (we only used one bedroom so no opinion of the other beds). We will Definitely be back to visit family!
