INSIDE THE BUNGALOW

In the living area, unique art and comfy couches center around a vintage wood-burning stove and wall-mounted flatscreen TV.

The adjacent eat-in kitchen has charm to spare AND plenty of space to cook and eat. Stainless steel appliances include a 6-burner, hooded gas range and a dishwasher. Also in this space, a wood dining table seats 4 to dinner.

And when your bathing suit needs a refresher, we provide the washer and dryer!

Eclectic touches throughout give this vacation rental lots of personality: find a zebra head sculpture in the kitchen, antique Chinese pottery, subway tiles and floating vanities in the bathrooms, and a gorgeous nautical painting above the master bed.

Want to sit in the sea air? Head to the outdoor patio and spacious yard. Bring your burgers and veggies out with you?we also provide a stainless gas grill!

THE LOCATION

Hermosa Beach is a small town packed with fun things to do, most of them outside along the Pacific coast. The beach is the biggest draw, of course, and it?s just a few short blocks from this vacation rental!

Check out the Comedy & Magic Club on Hermosa Ave as this longtime club attracts star comics like Jay Leno.

The Hermosa Beach Farmers' Market at the Pier is a great stop to buy some farm fresh food for dinner! There are farm fresh goodies, artisan food and craft vendors. Every Wednesday 11-4pm.

While you?re at the beach, check out the car-free strip for rollerblading, jogging, and walking amidst the tanned locals. When you get hungry (or thirsty) you can duck into many restaurants and bars on Hermosa Beach Pier and Redondo Beach Pier.

Mixed Bag
Stayed for 31 days in June, 2017  The location is incredible. Great neighborhood, close to the beach and restaurants. Unfortunately, the house itself is not good, especially for the money. It is roomy and has a nice back patio with BBQ. It was great to have a washer and dryer. However, the condition of the house is poor. A number of the louvered windows do not work. The shades are cheap and starting to show wear and tear. The dishwasher is rusting and very small. Some of the furniture was dirty. One of the bathroom sinks did not drain properly. A shower curtain fell down and we could not replace it because the rod was broken. When we arrived, the kitchen table was dirty and the floors were filthy (the bottoms of our feet were BLACK after one hour of walking barefoot in the house). We called the management company and they responded immediately. They sent a crew out to clean the floors. I followed up by wet Swiffering again after they left, and the Swiffer pads came up BLACK. During the month we were at the house, I used up a box of 30 Swiffer pads and each time I mopped the floor, the pads came up black. I do not know what is wrong with the floors, but we could not go barefoot or in socks because we would have black soles after a short time. You have to wear shoes in the house at all times. I don't blame the management company, but the unit needs help. I also feel that all the additional fees charged by VRBO are excessive -- -on a property that is listed for $3,617.22 ?for the month, there were an additional $742 in fees. I will try other services in the future.

Perfect place for beach vacay - with caveats
Stayed for 76 days in April, 2018  This place is great for what it is - a place to hang your hat after an exhausting and fun day at the beach. The location and price simply can?t be beat in hermosa. That said, here?s some thoughts after 2.5 months:Pros: 2 bedrooms and 2 full bathrooms and you can take two showers at the same time with the washing machine going and no issues. House has all amenities (cable, good WiFi, etc) you?ll need and is close to absolutely everything cool in the South Bay. Cons: bedrooms are on the same side of the house as the alleyway for the nextdoor apartment complex. When they party (and they do), you will hear every whisper (and bass drop) on your pillow. Not an issue if you are partying too, but be aware that this place is only as quiet the neighbors allow it. Also, living room has no comfortable couches to lounge on. Again, if you are there to do hermosa right, not an issue. But if you just want to couch potato for a day, you won?t have that luxury.
