PROPERTY Description
Forest Suite is located just a few minutes south from the village of Mendocino on 5 acres of beautiful redwoods.This 560 sq. ft. apartment plus 200sq ft deck, is upstairs from my 2,000 sq. ft artist’s studio, which is not in use when guests are staying. Built entirely with redwood, recycled fir and barn wood with cement counters and shower this romantic getaway is a very special spot.
The south wall is all windows with a deck overlooking the surrounding trees. It’s very peaceful and sunny and is frequented by honeymooners, artists, writers and those seeking total privacy. A few books and screenplays have been written here! There is an eclectic book and DVD library to enjoy. Take a walk through the forest; you will see a trail sign by the driveway which will take you through the property and out onto Gordon Lane for a longer walk. There is a bench along the trail and also a deck in the trees for yoga or meditation, or just relax and enjoy the tranquility. Thank you and enjoy your stay!!

Serene, comfortable, private... and very conveniently located
We were very pleased with our stay at The Forest Suite. It is comfortable, clean, well equipped and conveniently located. We ate breakfast and dinner on the deck every day and loved being surrounded by trees. We enjoyed exploring the Mendocino Headlands and Russian Gulch State Park, had fun on the Skunk Train rail bikes, and picnicking at Pacific Star winery. It was a wonderful getaway.
